History of the Embraer Legacy 600

The Legacy 600 was Embraer’s first business jet and has more space than any other comparable model of the time. It was specifically designed to contain all the essentials of an in-flight office.

The Legacy 600 was in production between 2002 and 2012 and was followed by the Legacy 650.

The Rolls-Royce AE3007 engines give up to 7,987lbs of thrust and the jet has a high speed cruise of 455 knots. With eight passengers it can travel 3,250 nautical miles and has a cruising altitude of 39,000 and a maximum ceiling of 41,000ft.

It is divided into three separate sections and can seat 13 passengers, with a mix of leather chairs and a side-facing sofa, as well as a range of tables. The seating can be converted into six flat beds. The cabin also includes two toilets and separate bar/galley, which holds both an oven and a microwave.

It comes with a 240 cubic foot baggage compartment which is fully accessible in-flight.

The Legacy 600 is equipped with a state-of-the-art entertainment system, featuring 2 DVD players, 1 video player and 10 individual screens. High-speed wireless internet, power outlets and a satellite phone system, with three handsets, is installed on-board, as is the Airshow Cabin Information System, with moving map display.
